Medical Equipment and Supplies in Dayton, OH

Sep 6, 2026by ABD Medical

Finding medical equipment and supplies in the Dayton area usually happens under pressure. Someone is being discharged tomorrow, a parent has started falling, a wound needs dressing changes twice a day, or a case manager handed over a list and no explanation. This page is the plain answer to what we carry, so you can see the whole catalog in one place instead of clicking through twenty collection pages.

ABD Medical is an accredited durable medical equipment and medical supplies provider based at 270 Regency Ridge Drive, Suite 104, Dayton, Ohio 45459. Call us at (513) 988-8550. We serve Dayton, Kettering, Beavercreek, Fairborn, Centerville, Huber Heights, Springboro, Xenia, and the surrounding Miami Valley, and we ship the full catalog nationwide.

When it is time to source equipment and supplies

Most people arrive here for one of a handful of reasons. If any of these describe your situation, the categories below will cover it:

  • Moving around the house has become unsafe, or a recent fall has changed what is realistic
  • A hospital or rehab discharge is coming and equipment needs to be in the house first
  • Bathing and toileting have become the hardest part of the day
  • Bladder or bowel leakage is being managed with products that are not working
  • A wound, surgical site, or pressure injury needs regular dressing changes
  • Appetite or weight loss has made oral nutrition supplements necessary
  • You are caregiving at home and burning through gloves, wipes, and underpads faster than the grocery store can keep up with
  • Blood glucose needs regular monitoring

Our equipment and supplies at a glance

Here is the complete list of what we stock, organized the way people actually shop for it.

Mobility aids

Walkers, rollators, wheelchairs, transport chairs, canes, and crutches, including bariatric capacities. Browse the full Mobility and Daily Living Aids collection, or go straight to a few of the items people ask for most:

Bedroom and bathroom safety

The equipment that keeps bathing and toileting safe, which is where most home falls happen:

Incontinence supplies

This is our deepest category by far, with hundreds of items across absorbency levels, sizes, and body types. The main destinations are the Incontinence Supplies collection and the Adult Diapers and Protective Underwear collection. Within them you will find:

If you are new to sizing and absorbency, our absorbency, sizing, and coverage guide and our buying guide for men will save you a return.

Skin care and personal care

Barrier creams and cleansers are what keep incontinence from turning into a skin breakdown problem. See the Personal Care collection, including:

First aid and wound care

Gauze, dressings, and medical tape from the First Aid and Wound Care collection:

Ostomy accessories

Support products for ostomy care, including Coloplast Brava Lubricating Deodorant.

Nutrition drinks and enteral feeding

Oral nutrition supplements and therapeutic nutrition from the Nutritional Supplies collection:

Diabetes care and blood glucose testing

Testing supplies including McKesson Quintet AC Blood Glucose Test Strips. See the Diabetes Care collection and Blood Glucose Testing collection.

Feminine care

Pads and liners across absorbency levels, including Always Maxi Overnight Pads with Wings in size 5, Always Infinity with FlexFoam, and Always Ultra Thin with Wings. Our size and absorbency guide explains the numbering system, which is not intuitive.

Why buy from ABD Medical

  • Accredited supplier. We are an accredited durable medical equipment and medical supplies provider. Our supplier standards are documented on our CMS Supplier Statement page.
  • Insurance friendly. We work with Medicare, Ohio Medicaid, and most other insurance plans. Coverage varies by item and plan, so call (513) 988-8550 before you assume something is or is not covered.
  • Depth over breadth in the categories that matter. Hundreds of incontinence products across absorbency levels rather than three options and a shrug.
  • Direct shipping. Local to the Miami Valley, shipping nationwide, with order tracking on every shipment.
  • No appointment needed. Order online at any hour, or call us for help choosing.

What we do not do

Worth being straight about. We are a supplies and equipment provider, not a home respiratory company. If you need oxygen therapy, a concentrator, CPAP or BiPAP equipment, or a rented hospital bed, you need a Medicare enrolled respiratory provider who serves your county and can deliver, set up, and maintain the equipment. Our guide to home medical equipment in Ohio explains how that side of the industry works, and our guide to choosing a Medicare DME supplier near you covers what to ask before committing.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a prescription to order?

Not for the products on this site. Everything in our catalog can be purchased directly. Prescriptions and physician orders come into play when an item is being billed to Medicare or another insurer, not when you are buying it yourself.

Does Medicare cover incontinence supplies?

Original Medicare does not cover adult briefs, protective underwear, or pads. Some Medicare Advantage plans include an over the counter allowance that can be applied to them, and Ohio Medicaid covers incontinence supplies for eligible members. Many of these items are also FSA and HSA eligible, which we cover in our FSA and HSA guide.

Can I order for someone I care for?

Yes. Most of our orders are placed by adult children, spouses, and professional caregivers rather than the person using the product. Ship it wherever it needs to go.

Do you serve outside Dayton?

Yes. We are based in Dayton and serve the Miami Valley locally, and we ship the full catalog across the United States.

What if I do not know which size or absorbency to order?

Ask us. Sizing across incontinence brands is inconsistent, and buying a case of the wrong thing is an expensive way to find out. Call (513) 988-8550 or send us the details and we will point you at the right item.
